While at first, I wanted to buy the signed, Limited Edition version of this for $75, I decided to just get the regular version. I'd been looking forward to this book ever since it was announced.
The book is filled with beutiful art inspired by the games and books. There are concept images, as well as srapped designs. Great for Halo fans who like looking at preproduction designs. I was pleased with the quality of the images, but the number of images just didn't seem enough. It's about the size of the Halo Encyclopedia, maybe a bit thinner. Maybe I'm just greedy.
There's really not much else to say on the book. Great art, great commentary, great price. 5 out of 5, 9 out of 10.
Hey man, long time no talk. lol, Anyway, I really like this book. I bought it months ago and loved it. I really like the foreward and intro on the book. The artwork is beast too.
ReplyDeleteYeah, hopefully they'll put out another one either after Halo 4, or after the Reclaimer Trilogy. They're also probably going to put out a new encyclopedia. There's a lot of new canon to cover.
DeleteYea I figured they will eventually create a new or add on to the Encyclopedia. I doubt I'm going to get the more updated one whenever it releases. I got the most recent one that includes Reach and it co$t a lot. I hope if they do put out another Art of Building Worlds it will be post Reclaimer trilogy.
